Hi, babes! It’s definitely been a busy week, but lately EVERY week seems to be busier than the last! Tell me I’m not the only one! Not complaining, just saying! Fall is definitely in the air and that, for me, means dry. skin. season. I admit, I didn’t always take skin care seriously. Once reality hit that I am MUCH closer to 30 than 20, I decided it was time to start figuring out a skincare routine that works for me. This means products that help soothe, hydrate, and combat aging. I am thrilled to say I’ve found products that have become staples-can’t live without them! Today I’m talking about my top 5 favorites. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed (ME before diving in), or like your skin needs a little something-give one (or all) of these a try!
VIICode O2M Mask: Hands down, VIICode eye masks are my #1 favorite product right now. VIICode eye masks are overnight treatment eye patch masks that claim to soothe and hydrate the skin around the eyes. The masks also improve the appearance of dark circles. These masks are not only effective, but they are so soothing I actually look forward to putting them on before I go to sleep! Once applied, you feel an instant cooling sensation (not tingly like menthol, just soothing)! I haven’t tried putting the masks in the fridge (keep forgetting), but I know popping them in the to cool will be amazing!
Wearing the masks to bed is not at all a nuisance-I was a little skeptical at first of wearing something stuck to my face all night long, but the soothing gel honestly made me feel relaxed and didn’t bother me at all falling asleep or throughout the night. The masks stay on all night, and they gently peel off in the morning. The skin beneath and around the mask is left feeling soft and smooth. I wear a mask every 3-4 days, and over time of wearing them, my sensitive skin has only felt better with more wears.
Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream: I confess that I held off for a while on trying Drunk Elephant products because of the price tag. When I finally decided to splurge and give them a shot, I finally understood what the hype was about! This cream is my current favorite of theirs-I use it day and night! It has added protein that helps combat dullness and increases firmness. This cream, and this line of products in general, has completely changed the appearance and texture of my skin. The Drunk Elephant brand makes the skincare process and products easy to understand. Also, the ingredients are clean and natural.

Sugar Lip Polish: With dry skin also comes dry lips, and mine are no exception. With just a small dab of this brown sugar lip scrub, you can literally feel the dry skin coming off (gross, but true). After scrubbing and wiping with a warm washcloth, your lips feel smoother than EVER. This product is meant to be used 2-3 times a week.
Savannah Bee Co Beeswax Hand Cream: I discovered this hand cream while wandering King Street in Charleston a couple of years ago! I initially loved it just because of the fact that I discovered it while shopping in my favorite city! Haha, but I love it even more because my hands have survived winter weather with no cracking since I regularly started using it. I use it before bed every night when it’s cold and my hands stayed hydrated all night/day long. I used to have to worst winter hands. I’ve tried every remedy-including sleeping with socks and Vaseline on my hands! However, this cream HANDS down is the best out there! Hand & Nail SalveI am also going to try the brand’s to combat dry winter cuticles!
Witch Hazel: You know that feeling-you’ve showered, removed makeup, washed your face, but your skin still doesn’t feel clean? When I feel this way, or really just went I want to cleanse my skin, I douse a cotton pad with Witch Hazel all over my face and neck. It removes that last lingering layer of makeup and leaves skin feeling fresh and clean. Witch Hazel is a natural astringent( toner) which helps tighten pores. It also helps to fight acne and remove makeup without leaving residue. I haven’t tried Thayer’s Witch Hazel yet, but once I finish my current bottle, it’s next up! BTW-a bottle of Witch Hazel lasts forever!
I hope this roundup has helped you discover a few new products for your skin! Have you tried any of these products? What is your favorite skincare product?
