I have to start this post off with an embarrassing/funny story. I’m on my way to work, and running JUST on time as usual. I never leave room for error and it’s a habit I desperately NEED to break. I went to the gym in the morning and had left myself MAYBE 20 minutes to finish my workout, get home, shower, eat, look presentable, and get back out the door. I had set out my clothes, makeup, comb, so that it was easier to race around. I actually got out the door on time. I was about half way in to my drive in traffic on 95 (seriously the worst), and all of a sudden had a PIT in my stomach. I had forgotten to wear a BRA. I was DYING-not sure if it was more an “oh shit’ or “Omg lol” dying. THANKFULLY-there are plenty of shops about a mile from work so i ran in to Free People (the closest), and grabbed a new bralette (that I now have in three colors)!

My mind is still in my favorite city of Charleston-my trips always FLY by! One of the MANY things I love about Charleston is the shopping! I wrote in this post how much I love DressUp (right on King Street), and how the Charleston location is one of my favorite places to shop when I’m in town! Maxi Dresses:

Maxi dresses are as easy as throw on and go. I live in maxi dresses when I am unsure of what to wear, or I need to look a little more formal than shorts or jeans. This tie dye maxi from Dress Up is so much fun! It also has pockets! This t-shirt style maxi is only $22 and a more basic option but soo versatile and can take you from day to night!

White Jeans + Fun Top:

I’d say more than half of my going out/date night outfits in the summer consists of white jeans and a cute top! These jeans are my staple white pair and this year I also invested in these mom jeans, and have a few of these budget friendly pairs in rotation! I LOVE this crochet top from DressUp with jeans for date night-it comes in 5 colors! I wear this bra pretty with all my sleeveless/tank shirts.

Shorts + Breezy Tees:

Definitely my summer “daytime” look right here! Cute cutoffs like this under $30 pair from DressUp with flowy tops make me feel put together enough to run around town, but also casual enough to be working at the local coffee shop. Peplum tops are so flattering,, epseically with short shorts, as to not show tooooo much skin!
