Happy Wednesday! I thought it would be fun today to share my wedding mood boards-aka the inspiration I drew from when designing my wedding! These boards were the starting point for me in narrowing down the overwhelming (never-ending) inspiration I was bombarded with every time I opened Insta, Pinterest, and Etsy!
My wedding inspiration definitely started out more rustic than intended. I would say overall, my style is more traditional/glam than rustic, and I think that my true style was reflected in the end result of my wedding day decor. Designing these boards made me realize I was influenced by what I saw online vs. my own personal preferences. Putting together these mood boards helped me recognize that and end up with a result I truly LOVED and was true to me in the end!
My Advice…
My biggest piece advice in designing your own mood board is to use them as a starting point. Do not lock yourself in to following through with the design if you find your taste and preferences changing once you get going with the project. For example, I loved the idea of a champagne wall, but my venue already had a beautiful center table that worked perfectly for displaying champagne, so that’s what I went with!
Mood boards are sooo useful-I use them for my business, home and holiday decor, and even for my wardrobe! I’d love to see how you use mood boards in every day life. If you’re planning your wedding, or just need some inspiration on how to get started with a mood board, I’ve designed a few templates for you below!
