So far in the wedding planning process I fretted the MOST about my bridesmaids “proposal”-aka how am I going to ask the most important people in my life to stand beside me on my wedding day! I spent a few sleepless nights scrolling the ‘gram, Etsy, Amazon-looking for inspo or ideas. I finally settled on building my own gift bags, and I am so happy with how they came out!
Our wedding doesn’t have a set theme, but we have a color scheme and design scheme so I really wanted to stick with the same theme from save-the-date cards to thank you notes and everything in between. I haven’t talked much about our venue yet, but I’ll be spilling the details soon! I am obsessed with our venue! It sets the perfect scene for our wedding day! In the grander scheme of things, it also reflects who we are as a couple. Our venue is oceanfront but not overly nautical or beachy. I wanted to reflect the venue’s vibe in my gift to the bridesmaids!
How to Propose to my Bridesmaids?
- Set a budget
- Pick a theme/idea
- Don’t second guess yourself
- HAVE FUN
How to Build your Bridesmaid gift bags:
I started with these beautiful hand-woven bags. I feel like they are the perfect carry-all for my friends whether they’re traveling or going to the beach! I, of course, kept one for myself. BTW-my company Fioré Flower Studio is the company that sells them-you will not find them on Etsy! Funny story about this-one of my bridesmaids actually bought the bag I was planning to give her before I asked, so I had to give her this one instead (just as cute IMO)!
Next, I wanted to add something personalized and “on brand.” I also want said thing to be useful-i.e. not just a random thing to gift a random thing. I opted for these adorable moccassin slippers and had them customized with everyone’s initials (also love the faux fur lined pair). Will they wear them every day? No, but they are cute for bopping around or running to the mailbox (and will make for adorable bridesmaid shots)!

Another gift I put in the bag was this candle. These soy candles smell SOO good while burning. Honestly, all the scents are to-die-for, but the coconut and vetiver fits my vibe the most! If coconut isn’t your thing try Amber & Oakmoss-you will LOVE!
I wanted to add one more thing to the bag so I got in these almost-too-cute-to-eat chocolate lollipops in nautical shapes from a chocolatier local to my venue. I meannn who doesn’t love some chocolate?
My favorite part of the bag was the personalized, hand-calligraphied tags. Alyssa of Alyssa Drury Calligraphy handwrote these personalized tags. I love that they’re elegant, simple, but also still special! I tied the tags on with a dark blue silk bow.
