Is it possible to own too many pair of jeans? I’ll speak for myself in saying that’s a rhetorical question! I have my go-to pairs of denim that I wear weekly, year after year: dark wash skinny, high waist skinny, slightly distressed, dark flares, white. I replace a pair or two of white denim every year because I wear them a ton and they tend to get dingy fast. Shop some of my favorite white denim in this post! Even with our trusty go-to’s, there’s always room for a little trend in the closet: let’s talk about embellished denim!
There’s something about embellished denim that makes me a little nostalgic-throwback to the 90’s! My favorite pair was a pair of dark flares, with a few bright smiley face patches on them (cringe? Or hilarious? Not sure). Soon after that I graduated to Weathervane denim (nostalgia again-TBH I think I would still shop there if it were open!!)

With embellishments officially a trend again, I had to give this pair a try! For under $50 (!!!) this cute pearl pair fits like my most expensive pair of jeans (size up one). I love the deconstructed hem and the length hits right at my ankle (I’m 5’3”), may be a little shorter on girls with longer legs.
I paired these leggings with a fun bright red for the holidays (sold out, similar linked here). Post-Christmas, I would pair with something like this black sweater (under $40!), and further in to spring, a blush pink OTS top will make a pretty compliment to the pearls! The booties I’m wearing here are so versatile (similar linked here) and my go-to’s this season.
