Happy Wednesday! A while ago I shared how I “proposed” to my bridesmaids, and wanted to follow up that post and share more about what my bridesmaids wore, and what I gifted them on our wedding day!
Bridesmaids Dress Inspiration:
I really struggled with deciding if I wanted my bridesmaids to all be in the same color with different style dresses, or if I wanted a ombre/mixed look. I like and appreciate both looks equally, but kept going back and forth in making my final decision. When I saw a post by BHLDN with girls in mixed print and textured dresses in shades of blue ( I wish I could find it haha), I knew it was the look I wanted!
Shortly after that, BHLDN had a sale on dresses so I told my bridesmaids to go for it! I gave them a color palette (pretty much any blue), and asked them to choose their favorite color and style. I loved how this turned out-each of my friends were able to wear the dress they wanted, and the colors ended up flowing perfectly! We never went shopping for dresses and I didn’t see the dresses together until day-of, but I did use an inspiration board to keep track of each bridesmaids dress so I had a vision of how they looked together.
It took me MONTHS to decide what to gift my bridesmaids. I ended up going a more traditional route by gifting each girl a robe, earrings, and a clutch.
The robes are amazing quality and pretty affordable! I bought 8 robes for my bridesmaids and Sean’s sister, niece. and aunt. I gifted my mom and Sean’s mom the same robe but embroidrered them with Mother of the Bride/Groom.
For a more classic look, I went with these Lisi Lerch “Kate” style earrings in Pearl. If one of your bridesmaids doesn’t have pierced ears, these also are made with clips! I knew I needed a clutch for my wedding day, and wanted all of ours to match, so I also gifted the girls this single monogram clutch. I ordered mine in blush pink (to match my dress) and theirs in pebble grey.
What is your preferred bridesmaids look or brides-to-be, what are your bridesmaid questions?
